Even if you're not a Christian, you have no doubt heard of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave His
only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life." In fact, according to Gideons
International, this verse has been translated into more than 1100 languages.
However, we contend that there is a more significant verse; and that verse is the first verse of the Bible, Genesis
1:1, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." If there is no God, and evolution is true, then what
Jesus did on the cross is meaningless and we can live anyway we want. But, because there is a Creator God, He
requires us to live a perfect life, a life we are unable to live by ourselves. As a result, Jesus lived that life for us and
died on the cross to pay for the sins of those who believe in Him.
It is our prayer that you will come to know and believe in the one true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
